PepLedger Calculation Methodology & Editorial Standards
Learn PepLedger formulas, input validation, source selection, rounding, and the boundary between arithmetic and medical guidance.
Last updated: September 13, 2026
PepLedger is a mathematical tracking and calculation tool. It does not select or recommend dosages. Every result is calculated exclusively from values entered by the visitor.
Core calculation formulas
- Concentration = vial amount ÷ liquid volume.
- Required liquid volume = entered amount ÷ concentration.
- U-100 means 100 syringe units per mL.
- U-40 means 40 syringe units per mL.
- Mass conversions use 1 mg = 1,000 mcg.
IU is not automatically converted into mg or mcg because IU-to-mass relationships are substance-specific.
Precision, rounding and capacity checks
Calculations retain full available precision internally. Displayed values are rounded only at the final presentation step for readability. Syringe-capacity warnings compare the calculated syringe-scale position with the visitor-selected capacity. A warning does not recommend a different amount, syringe or action.
Blends and interface shortcuts
Blend calculations keep each component mathematically separate by calculating each component's concentration and represented amount independently. Presets and shortcut buttons are interface conveniences only and are not recommendations.
Editorial and source standards
Sources support compound identity, terminology, regulatory context and research background—not dosage recommendations. Priority is given to FDA, DailyMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, NIH and peer-reviewed primary sources. PepLedger content is written and maintained by PepLedger. No medical-review claim is made.
Important limitations
The information is educational and mathematical and is not medical advice. Users must independently verify their product label, concentration and units. PepLedger cannot verify the contents, quality, sterility, approval status or identity of any physical product.
